Innocence

I have always had a fascination with fairy tales. This is probably why I love the art of Paula Rego. This piece is inspired by that love of fairy tales. I purposely chose to portray Snow White as young (had my seven year old daughter model and “aged” her slightly) to emphasize her youth and innocence. I also wanted the piece to portray the naivete in the moment just before she bites into that apple.
